Welfare indicators are grouped into four practical areas that reflect daily farm management

Indicators related to water quality and system factors that influence fish comfort and stress.
2. Health
Indicators linked to physical condition, injury, and disease risk.
3. Nutrition
Indicators related to feeding response, growth consistency, and feed management.
4. Behaviour
Indicators that reflect normal, calm behaviour and the absence of distress.
